A TripAdvisor™ TripWow slideshow of a travel blog to Stevensville, Canada by TravelPod blogger Jillybear titled "The last Leg before England ....... sad" Jillybear's travel blog entry: "More goodbyes to my friends in Ottawa and I was aboard the ViaRail's train service to Toronto where I would change for Niagara Falls City Station. The train was delayed in a small town which was its first stop for over an hour. Another train #57 had a broken-down engine so we were having to tow these carriages to Toronto, it seemed to take a very long time for the engine to shunt around and then attach the carriages from #57. Well as I said in my text message to Ed -- c'est la vie. Unfortunately the Wi-fi aboard the train was only working locally and not connecting to the internet, also there was no cell signal for my particular service provider -- Rogers. I found this in many places, most frustrating as I wanted to phone cousin Mary and let her know I was going to be delayed. That was just too simple!! The scenery meanwhile was green and pretty but very flat, a few rivers here and there but not too interesting, plus the fact that it was pouring with rain! We eventually arrived in Toronto and were taken by bus on to Niagara Falls having missed the train connection. Mary and Bill were there to meet me and it was great to see them and reach the end of a very stressful journey. Sunday afternoon Mary and Bill took me to Fort Erie Race Track to watch horse racing where their daughter works with ...
